On October 17, 2013, the British Columbia Securities Commission hosted an open dialogue for BC’s Venture Market: Junior Mining at a Crossroads.
The BCSC's Executive Director, Paul Bourque, moderated a panel of experts: on the challenges facing the junior mining sector in British Columbia. In addition the conference featured the release of a study that presented the opinions of fifteen junior mining executives on the root causes of the downturn. The study, entitled BC's Junior Mining at a Crossroads, was produced by KPMG and commissioned by the BCSC. Peter Brady, the BCSC's Director of Corporate Finance, also presented statistical information related to financing in BC.
More than 150 people attended the half-day forum at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver.
