Background:

We received an enquiry from a British Columbia resident who was cold-called by a representative of New Century International S.A. (New Century), in April of 2010, and solicited to open an account with New Century and trade in futures contracts.  On its Web site, New Century purports to be “a commodity broker and commodity trading firm based in Panama City, Panama”.  New Century is not registered in British Columbia to trade in, or advise on, securities and exchange contracts.
