On June 29, 2012, the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) issued an investor alert about bforex, an offshore company that claims to be an online, over-the-counter broker specializing in the trading of foreign currency and commodities. The ASC said that it had received information that bforex had solicited Alberta residents to invest, even though bforex is not registered with the ASC.
bforex is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities in British Columbia.
We urge British Columbia residents to exercise caution when dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise in British Columbia.
