Background:

We have received information that residents of Germany and the United Kingdom were solicited by representatives of James B. Clarke & Co. Ltd. (JBC) to purchase shares of  Norton Gold Corp. (Norton), a company purportedly based in Hong Kong, and Remington Gold Ltd. (Remington), a company purportedly based in Point Roberts, Washington.

On its website, JBC claimed it was an international securities brokerage and investment services firm with offices
worldwide, including one in Vancouver, British Columbia.  The link to the purported Vancouver office showed a contact form, but no contact details.

On their websites, which were virtually identical, Norton and Remington claimed to be gold mining companies that had acquired mining claims located in British Columbia.

JBC is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in British Columbia.  Norton and Remington are not registered to sell securities in British Columbia and have not filed prospectuses with the British Columbia Securities Commission.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission, the Financial Services Commission of Gibraltar and the Financial Market Authority of Austria have issued warnings about JBC.
