Hearing Adjournment and Extension of Temporary Orders
The British Columbia Securities Commission is to determine whether it is in the public interest to make orders under the Securities Act against Carey Brian Dennis. On May 30, 2001, the Executive Director ordered under section 161 of the Act that
· any or all of the exemptions described in sections 44 to 47, 74, 75, 98 or 99 of the Act do not apply to Dennis,
· Dennis resign any position he holds as a director or officer of any issuer, and that he be prohibited from becoming or acting as a director or officer of any issuer, and
· Dennis be prohibited from engaging in investor relations activities,
for a period expiring on June 14, 2001.
After hearing an application from the Executive Director on June 14, 2001, the Commission
· adjourned the hearing to 10:00 a.m. on September 27, 2001, at the British Columbia Securities Commission, 12th Floor, 701 West Georgia Street, Vancouver; and
· considering it to be necessary and in the public interest, extended the temporary orders until the hearing is held and a decision is rendered.
