WHEREAS an application has been made to the Executive Director on behalf of HSBC Capital Fund (IV) Limited Partnership for an order under sections 45(2)(4) and 74(2)(3) of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 418 that the fund be designated as an exempt purchaser;

AND WHEREAS the Executive Director is satisfied that to do so would not be prejudicial to the public interest;

IT IS ORDERED under sections 45(2)(4) and 74(2)(3) of the Act that HSBC Capital Canada Fund (IV) Limited Partnership is designated as an exempt purchaser for the period from February 12, 2001 to February 11, 2002.
