AND BETTY MACARTHUR (COLLECTIVELY, THE “INDIVIDUAL PARTIES”)
(ALL COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS THE “RESPONDENTS”)
Adjournment of Hearing and Extension of Temporary Order
WHEREAS on December 1, 2000, under section 161 of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 418, the Executive Director gave notice to Davis & Davis Personal and Professional Development Seminars Ltd., Lauron Enterprises Inc., and 3021310 Nova Scotia Inc. and to The Personally Empowered People Program, a.k.a. The PEP Program and to Laurie Harriet Davis, Ronald G. Davis and Betty MacArthur of a hearing to be held on December 14, 2000, before the British Columbia Securities Commission to determine whether it is in the public interest to make orders under the Act against the Respondents;
AND WHEREAS on December 1, 2000, the Executive Director ordered under section 161(2) of the Act (the “temporary orders”) that
(a) all persons cease trading in the securities of the Corporate Entities and of the PEP Program;
(b) the exemptions described in sections 44 to 47, 74, 75, 98 or 99 of the Act do not apply to the Individual Parties;
(c) the Individual Parties resign any position each holds as a director or officer of any issuer and be prohibited from becoming, or acting as, a director or officer of any issuer;
(d) the Individual Parties are prohibited from engaging in any investor relations activities;
TAKE NOTICE that at the hearing held on December 14, 2000, the Commission
1. adjourned the hearing to March 15, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at 12th Floor, 701 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, to fix a date for the hearing;
2. varied the temporary order described in paragraph (a) above by removing reference to the PEP Program; and
