Background
¶ 1 On September 13, 2012, the executive director issued a notice of hearing containing allegations against Streamline Properties Inc., 07772583 B.C. Ltd., Local 1661 Building Inc., Almaval Building Inc., Jeffrey Karl Wiegel and Michael Jerome Knight.

¶ 2 The Commission adjourned two set date hearings:

      (a) on October 16, 2012, to allow Wiegel time to deal with the criminal proceedings related to this matter; and

      (b) on November 27, 2012, to allow Wiegel and Knight time to retain new counsel for both this matter, and the criminal proceedings related to this matter.

¶ 3 On December 14, 2012, the Commission set the hearing dates in this matter to start on July 8, 2013.

¶ 4 On May 29, 2013, Wiegel, and on May 31, 2013, Knight, applied to the Commission to have the July 8, 2013 hearing adjourned for 90 days to allow Wiegel and Knight time to deal with the criminal proceedings related to this matter.

¶ 5 On June 6, 2013, the executive director filed submissions opposing Wiegel and Knight’s adjournment applications.

Ruling
¶ 6 We have reviewed the submissions of the parties. Considering it would be prejudicial to the public interest if we agree to another adjournment, we dismiss the adjournment applications of Wiegel and Knight.


¶ 7 The hearing will proceed on July 8, 2013, at 10:00am.
