Section 161(1) of the Securities Act, RSBC 1996, c. 418
Introduction
¶ 1 This is an order under sections 161(1) and 161(6)(c) of the Securities Act, RSBC 1996, c.418.
Background
¶ 2 Terry Leong and William Douglas Henderson are subject to orders made by the Alberta Securities Commission imposing sanctions on them in a decision rendered November 16, 2006 in 526053 B.C. Ltd., Re, 2006 ABASC 1795.
Orders
¶ 3 After providing Leong an opportunity to be heard, and considering it to be in the public interest, we order under section 161(1)(b) of the Act, that Leong cease trading in, and is prohibited from purchasing, securities and exchange contracts, except that Leong may trade or purchase securities and exchange contracts through accounts in his name at a registered dealer, until November 16, 2016.
¶ 4 After providing Henderson an opportunity to be heard, and considering it to be in the public interest, we order under section 161(1)(b) of the Act, that Henderson cease trading in, and is prohibited from purchasing, securities and exchange contracts, except that Henderson may trade or purchase securities and exchange contracts through accounts in his name at a registered dealer, until November 16, 2016.
