   ORDER:-- WHEREAS on December 2, 1987 the Superintendent of Brokers ("Superintendent") held a hearing under section 145(1) of the Securities Act, S.B.C. 1985, c. 83 ("Act") to give Alex V. Laurins ("Laurins") an opportunity to be heard before the Superintendent determined whether to make an order that all exemptions described in sections 30 to 32, 55 to 58, 81 or 82 of the Act do not apply to Laurins;

   AND WHEREAS Laurins was duly served with notice of the hearing, and filed a declaration that was considered in evidence at the hearing;

   AND WHEREAS the Superintendent, having considered the evidence and the submissions of his counsel, found that:

On or about August 26, 27 and 28, 1986 in Vancouver, B.C. Laurins placed an order for the sale of 5,000 shares of Axiom International Development Corporation through an agent registered for trading in securities, Brink, Hudson & Lefever Ltd., and failed to declare to the agent that he did not own the shares as required by section 75 of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1979, c. 380;

On or about September 18, 1986 in Vancouver, B.C. Laurins placed an order for the sale of 10,000 shares of Beverly Development Inc. through an agent registered for trading in securities, Brink, Hudson & Lefever Ltd., and failed to declare to the agent that he did not own the shares as required under section 75 of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1979, c. 380;
   NOW THEREFORE the Superintendent ordered under section 145(1) of the Act that all exemptions described in sections 30 to 32, 55 to 58, 81 or 82 of the Act do not apply to Laurins for a period expiring two years from December 2, 1987.
