Section 174 of the Securities Act, RSBC 1996, c. 418
Background
1 In a decision dated May 5, 2003, the commission ordered that Robert Douglas McLean pay prescribed fees or charges for the costs of, or related to, the hearing. The commission directed commission staff to file their submissions on costs and to send a copy to McLean, by May 23, 2003, and directed McLean to file his submissions and send a copy to commission staff by June 6, 2003.
2 On May 16, 2003, commission staff submitted a bill of costs for $8,634.26. The bill of costs was sent to McLean. On June 11, 2003, McLean’s counsel informed the commission secretary that McLean would not be making any submissions on the bill of costs. McLean did not file any submissions.
Order Under Section 174
3 The Commission orders under section 174 of the SecuritiesAct, RSBC 1996, c. 418, and in accordance with section 22(1), Item 38 of the Securities Regulation, BC Reg. 196/97, that McLean pay $8,634.26.
