Notice of Adjournment of Hearing


WHEREAS on December 19, 1999, under section 161 of the Securities Act R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 418, the Executive Director gave notice to Corporate Express Inc., also known as Corporate Express Club and Corporate Express Club (CEC) 1998, Fortress International Ltd., Great American Gold Ltd., and Offshore Knowledge Network and John Thomas McCarthy, Cameron Willard McEwen, Patrick Thomas Stojak and Lynn Ilene Sorsdahl (collectively, the “Respondents”), of a hearing to be held before the British Columbia Securities Commission to determine whether it is in the public interest to make orders under the Act against the Respondents;

AND WHEREAS on December 19, 1999, the Executive Director ordered under section 161(2) of the Act (the “Temporary Orders”) that

· under section 161(1)(b) of the Act, all persons cease trading in and are prohibited from purchasing the Securities;
    · under section 161(1)(c) of the Act, any and all of the exemptions described in any of sections 44 to 47, 74, 75, 98 and 99 of the Act do not apply to the Corporate Respondents and the Individual Respondents;
      · under section 161(1)(d) of the Act, each of the Individual Respondents resign any positions they hold as a director or officer of any issuer and are each prohibited from becoming or acting as a director or officer of any issuer;
        · under section 161(1)(d) of the Act, the Individual Respondents are each prohibited from engaging in investor relations activities; and
          · under section 161(1)(f) of the Act, Sorsdahl’s registration as a registered representative with a scholarship plan dealer be suspended.

          AND WHEREAS on January 5, 2000, the Commission ordered that the hearing be adjourned until 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2000 and extended the Temporary Orders until a hearing is held and a decision is rendered.

          TAKE NOTICE that on July 5, 2000, counsel will appear before the Commission to advise of their preparedness for the hearing, and that the hearing to be held on May 1, 2000 has been adjourned to November 14-16 and November 22-24, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. at British Columbia Securities Commission, 7th Floor, 865 Hornby Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.
