Richard J. Watson and
TSX Venture Exchange
Section 28 of the Securities Act, RSBC 1996, c. 418
On June 6, 2002, TSX Venture Exchange notified Richard J. Watson that it had determined that his “involvement with any listed company in any capacity is not acceptable”. The Exchange subsequently represented that the Exchange’s determination as to Watson’s unsuitability was restricted to his capacity to act as a director, officer or key employee of any Exchange listed company.
On July 17, 2002, Watson applied to the Commission for a hearing and review of the decision. He also applied for a stay of the decision. On September 11, 2002, the Commission refused to grant the stay.
The Commission will hold a hearing to review the Exchange’s decision on April 15, 2004 at 11 am and April 16 at 10 am at the British Columbia Securities Commission, 12th Floor, 701 West Georgia Street, Vancouver.
