This website is administered by the British Columbia Securities Commission from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

1. YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT

These website Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the BCSC regarding your access to and use of the website and all of the content available on or through the website. Each time you use the website, you signify that you understand and accept these Terms as they then read.

2. OWNERSHIP AND PERMITTED USE OF WEBSITE

We established the website solely for educational purposes and the distribution of information. The website and all of its content, including information (in text, graphical, video and audio forms), images, icons, software, and other elements, are the property of the BCSC and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other laws.

All rights in the website are reserved except that the BCSC grants permission to:

1. each viewer of the website to display the content of the website on the viewer's computer, and
2. teachers and students in secondary schools in British Columbia to download, print and use the content of the website without modification for not-for-profit educational purposes.

3. TRADEMARK INFORMATION

There are many trademarks, trade names and logos displayed on the website. You can't use them except as described in these Terms.

4. RESTRICTED AREAS AND PASSWORDS

You can access certain areas of the website only by using a unique user name and password (together, your ID). It's in these areas that you enter your personal information and participate in the activities available on the website. Since we can't see you, we can't, and don't take responsibility for, verifying that you're actually the person using your ID.

You have to follow some special rules when you use your ID:

1. you're fully responsible and liable for the security of your ID and any use and misuse of it
2. you must keep your ID secure and confidential at all times and not disclose it to any other person or permit any other person to use it
3. you can use your ID only if you comply with these Terms, and
4. you must immediately notify the BCSC (click on Contact BCSC) if you know or suspect that your ID has been lost or stolen, or become known to or used by any other person.

The website is not intended to provide specific financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and you shouldn't rely on the website for that purpose.

All rights in these materials are reserved except that the British Columbia Securities Commission grants permission to secondary schools in British Columbia to reproduce without modification excerpts from these materials for not-for-profit educational use by secondary school students in British Columbia.
