In the attached advance notices, the Canadian Securities Administrators announce the expected implementation of Multilateral Instrument 62-104 Take-Over Bids and Issuer Bids and related forms, together with related National Policy 62-203 Take-Over Bids and Issuer Bids, effective February 1, 2008.

We are also providing advance notice of the adoption of consequential amendments to the Securities Rules and BC Implementing Rule 71-801 Implementing the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System under National Instrument 71-101. These consequential amendments:

• repeal sections of the Securities Rules that will now be regulated by MI 62-104, and update cross references
• update the exemptions from the take-over bid and issuer bid requirements for issuers eligible to use the multijurisdictional disclosure system.

These local amendments are in Appendix A following this Notice.

We also intend to have proclaimed amendments to the Securities Act, which would repeal most of Part 13 in the Securities Act.
