This CSA notice announces the publication for comment of amendments to National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (Proposed NI 43-101); Companion Policy 43-101CP; Form 43-101F1 Technical Report.
NI 43-101 (Current NI 43-101) was originally adopted as a rule in each of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, as a commission regulation in Saskatchewan and as a policy in all other jurisdictions represented by the CSA. The Policy was implemented as a policy in all CSA jurisdictions by February 1, 2001.
Amendments have been made to:
- reflect changes that have occurred in the mining industry,
- correct errors discovered with use of the rule,
- simplify the drafting,
- provide exemptions in specified circumstances, and
- generally make the rule more user-friendly and practical.
Current NI 43-101 continues to be in force in the CSA jurisdictions. If Proposed NI 43-101 is adopted, it will replace the Current NI 43-101. The Notice describes where to direct your comments and sets out specific questions relating to the Proposed NI 43-101. Comment letters received on or before December 10, 2004 will be
