  • BC Notice 2003/37 - Adoption of National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities

    This BCN announces that effective September 30, 2003, the BCSC has adopted NI 51-101 as a rule. NI 51-101 establishes a regime of continuous disclosure for reporting issuers engaged in exploring for, developing or producing oil or gas. After a transitional period, NI 51-101 will replace National Policy No. 2-B Guide for Engineers and Geologists Submitting Oil and Gas Reports to Canadian Provincial Securities Administrators. The BCSC has also adopted NI 51-101CP Companion Policy and related forms.

    The BCSC has also made consequential amendments to the Securities Rules and to a number of national, multilateral and local instruments, policies and forms to ensure they are consistent with the provisions of NI 51-101.
