This advance notice announces our intention to adopt amendments to the mutual fund rules in NI 81-102 Mutual Funds, to significantly liberalize how mutual funds can invest in other mutual funds. We are also proposing to amend the forms related to NI 81-101 Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure to mandate certain disclosure for mutual funds that invest in other mutual funds. The notice also announces proposed housekeeping amendments to these rules that clarify their application. If the Minister approves these rules, they will be effective December 31, 2003.
