- BC Notice 2005/57 - Membership in the Securities Law Advisory Committee
The commission is looking for three or four British Columbia securities law practitioners to become members of its Securities Law Advisory Committee. New members would serve for a renewable three-year term (April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2009). If you are interested, please send your resume to the Chair of the commission by January 20, 2006.
BC Notice 2005/58 - Adoption of National Instrument 44-101 Short Form Prospectus Distributions, Form 44-101F1 Short Form Prospectus and consequential amendments
The notice announces the adoption of National Instrument 44-101 Short Form Prospectus Distributions and Form 44-101F1 Short Form Prospectus effective December 30, 2005. NI 44-101 and Form 44-101F1 replace current National Instrument 44-101 and Form 44-101F3. This notice also identifies the consequential amendments made to national and multilateral instruments, as well as to implementing rule, form and policies as a result of the adoption of NI 44-101.

This Notice provides an update on the comments we received on Concept Paper 23-402 Best execution and soft dollar arrangements which was published on February 4, 2005. It also includes an update on recent developments and discusses the process going forward.
- CSA Notice 44-302 - Replacement of National Instrument 44-101 Short Form Prospectus Distributions
This notice provides clarification of transition issues for the interim period between the implementation of National Instrument 44-101 Short Form Prospectus Distributions and the changes to the SEDAR filing application scheduled for March 6, 2006. The Notice also contains a list of issuers that are considered grandfathered issuers that otherwise satisfy the New NI 44-101 qualification criteria and may file a preliminary short form prospectus under New NI 44-101 on or after December 30, 2005.
- CSA Staff Notice 52-311 - Regarding the Required Forms of Certificates under Multilateral Instrument 52-109 Certification of Disclosure in Issuers’ Annual and Interim Filings
This notice assists certifying officers in determining what form of certificate is required under the instrument for various financial years and interim periods. The notice includes samples of the different kinds of certificate.
