- CSA Staff Notice 51-320 - Options Backdating
The CSA is publishing a Staff Notice to comment on the issue of "options backdating", which has attracted regulatory attention in the U.S. The Staff Notice points out regulatory differences between Canada and the U.S. It also directs issuers and their boards of directors to guidance related to corporate governance and disclosure standards for material information.
- BC Notice 2006/18 - Eliminating certificates under section 77 of the Securities Act respecting status of reporting issuers
This notice announces that effective September 15, 2006, Commission staff will no longer issue certificates that an issuer is a reporting issuer or certificates of no default. It also tells market participants where they can find information about issuers' reporting and default status.
