National Instrument 44-101 Short Form Prospectus Disclosure, and Form 44-101F1 Short Form Prospectus

The Commission is announcing that it has adopted amendments to National Instrument 51-102 Continuous Disclosure Obligations, together with other related consequential amendments, effective December 29, 2006. These amendments will replace most remaining local continuous disclosure requirements, exempt some foreign issuers from certain continuous disclosure obligations, and how certain parts of the current continuous disclosure rules apply.

  • BC Notice 2006/30 - Publication for Comment of National Instrument 41-101 General Prospectus Requirements and Related Instruments and Proposed Consequential Amendments

The Commission, together with other members of the Canadian Securities Administrators, are publishing for comment a new long form prospectus regime for issuers that is based on the existing long form prospectus disclosure system in Ontario.  We are proposing a number of consequential amendments to other rules, including the Securities Rules, together with changes to the prospectus disclosure system for investment funds that do not use the prospectus system under National Instrument 81-101 Mutual Fund Prospectus Disclosure. These amendments will increase consistency between various prospectus disclosure requirements, eliminate duplicative requirements, and will harmonize prospectus requirements on a national basis.
