  • BCN 2008/36 - Request for Comment Proposed National Policy 11-204 Process for Registration in Multiple Jurisdictions Proposed Amendments to Multilateral Instrument 11-102 Passport System, Companion Policy 11-102CP Passport System, National Policy 11-202 Process for Prospectus Reviews in Multiple Jurisdictions, and National Policy 11-203 Process for Exemptive Relief Applications in Multiple Jurisdictions and Other Related Amendments

    This notice announces the publication for comment of the phase II of passport for registration and amendments to the phase II of passport for issuers. Phase II for registration includes amendments to MI 11-102 Passport System and its companion policy, new proposed National Policy 11-204 Process for Registration in Multiple Jurisdictions, consequential amendments to National Policy 11-203 Process for Exemptive Relief Applications in Multiple Jurisdictions (NP 11-203), and the repeal of the National Registration System (NRS). The amendments to Phase II of passport for issuers are set out in the amendments to MI 11-102, its companion policy, National Policy 11-202 Process for Prospectus Reviews in Multiple jurisdictions and NP 11-203. They deal with issues that have arisen since the implementation of the phase II of passport for issuers. The notice also seeks comments on the proposed repeal of section 2 and most of section 3 of the Securities Rules. Except for the repeal of NRS, the comment period expires on September 17, 2008. The comment period on the repeal of NRS expires on October 17, 2008.
