  • BC Notice 2008/46 - Publication of the Memorandum of Understanding regarding CIPF and a Variation Order Approving the Canadian Investor Protection Fund as a Compensation Fund

    The British Columbia Securities Commission is publishing a variation order approving the Canadian Investor Protection Fund as a compensation fund for the customers of members of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.  The BCSC is also publishing a memorandum of understanding between CIPF and the CSA that sets out the roles and responsibilities of CIPF and the CSA.

  • Request for Comment to Proposed amendments to MFDA Rule 2.6 - Borrowing for Securities Purchases

    The Commission is publishing for comment proposed amendments to MFDA Rule 2.6 - Borrowing for Securities Purchases.  The comment period expires on November 3, 2008.

  • BC Notice 2008/47 - BCSC Extends Temporary Order Prohibiting Short Selling

    This notice announces the publication of an amended order regarding the temporary prohibition on short selling for certain financial sector issuers and extends the prohibition to October 8, 2008.
