  • BCN 2009/18 - Notice and Publication for Comment - Proposed Repeal and Replacement of National Instrument 52-107 Acceptable Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards and Companion Policy 52-107CP and Proposed Amendments to National Instrument 14-101 Definitions

    This notice requests comments on proposed amendments to National Instrument 52-107 Acceptable Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards, and its companion policy. If adopted, these would replace the current versions of NI 52-107 and its companion policy. The notice also requests comments on proposed amendments to National instrument 14-101 Definitions.

    The purpose of the proposed amendments is to accommodate the upcoming changeover to International Financial Reporting Standards. The comment period ends on December 24, 2009.

  • BCN 2009/17 - Notice of Amendments to Securities Regulation

    This notice announces amendments to the Securities Regulation effective September 28, 2009. The amendments add a fee for registration of investment fund managers, eliminate obsolete registration fees and make other fee related changes to the Regulation.

  • BCN 2009/16 - Notice of National Policy 11-204 Process for Registration in Multiple Jurisdictions and Amendments to Multilateral Instrument 11-102 Passport System, Companion Policy 11-102CP Passport System, National Policy 11-202 Process for Prospectus Reviews in Multiple Jurisdictions, National Policy 11-203 Process for Exemptive Relief Applications in Multiple Jurisdictions and the Securities Rules

    This notice announces the adoption, effective September 28, 2009, of the next phase of the passport for registrants and amendments to phase II of passport for issuers. In addition, the notice announces the adoption of amendments to sections 1 to 3 of the Securities Rules and the rescission of BC Instrument 52-801 Implementing National Instrument 52-107 Acceptable Accounting Principles, Auditing Standards and Reporting Currency.

  • BCN 2009/15 - Adoption of National Instrument 31-103 Registration Requirements and Exemptions, Companion Policy 31-103CP Registration Requirement and Exemptions, BC Interpretation Note 33-706, BC Instrument 33-517 Registration and Prospectus exemption for persons registered under the Mortgage Brokers Act, and consequential amendments to national and local instruments

    This BC Notice announces the adoption, effective September 28, 2009, of National Instrument 31- 103 Registration Requirements and Exemptions, Companion Policy 31-103CP Registration Requirements and Exemptions, BC Interpretation Note 33-706, BC Instrument 33-517, BC Interpretation Note 33-707 and consequential amendments to national and local instruments and policies, including the Securities Rules.

    The instruments and the consequential amendments, combined with amendments to the Securities Act that were passed in Bill 20, the Securities Amendment Act, 2006, harmonize, streamline and modernize registration requirements across Canada for firms and individuals who sell securities and exchange contracts, offer investment advice or manage investment funds.

  • BCN 2009/14 - Adoption of National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus and Registration Exemptions, National Instrument 45-102 Resale of Securities, Related Documents and Consequential Amendments

    This BC Notice announces the adoption, effective September 28, 2009, of National Instrument 45-106 Prospectus and Registration Exemptions, National Instrument 45-102 Resale of Securities, its related forms and companion policies. The notice also announces consequential amendments to a number of other national and local instruments and policies, including the Securities Rules.

    The instruments and the consequential amendments, combined with amendments to the Securities Act that were passed in Bill 20, the Securities Amendment Act, 2006, incorporate more local exemptions into the consolidated instrument, further harmonize some exemptions for which NI 45-106 contains minor local differences, resolve ambiguities in the current drafting, reflect decisions the CSA has made in granting exemptive relief on individual applications and clarify the resale of securities rule.
