The Commission has made BC Instrument 51-504 Transitional Exemptions Relating To WSE Issuers. This instrument, which is effective on November 24, 2000, provides to Winnipeg Stock Exchange issuers (including certain applicants for listing) that become listed on CDNX transitional relief from certain continuous disclosure obligations imposed on reporting issuers under the Securities Act (British Columbia). The instrument also provides these issuers and certain other issuers previously interlisted on the WSE and CDNX transitional relief from the filing obligations imposed on exchange issuers under the Act.
The Commission has also issued BC Companion Policy 51-504CP to explain the background and purpose of, and certain terms used in, the instrument.
