BCN 2002/06 - Publication for Comment of Proposed National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities and Related Documents [BCN - Rescinded]

Published Date: 2002-01-24
Effective Date: 2002-01-24
Document(s):

The Commission, together with the other members of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), is publishing for comment proposed National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities ("NI 51-101").

All other CSA members will publish this request for comment as an unnumbered CSA Notice. However, in order to ensure securities market participants will be able to locate this request for comment on the Commission website, we have included the entire CSA Notice as an attachment to this numbered BC Notice.

The appendix to the CSA Notice lists a number of proposed consequential amendments to securities legislation that would be implemented in all jurisdictions at the same time as NI 51-101 comes into effect. Following the CSA Notice the Commission has attached an additional list of proposed consequential amendments, including amendments that would affect BC securities legislation only.

The attached CSA Notice describes where comments and questions can be directed. All comments received by April 30, 2002 will be considered.
