Media Invited: Experts in Vancouver to discuss credit market crisis and its fallout

Vancouver - On Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, the British Columbia Securities Commission’s annual Capital Ideas conference will bring together a panel of experts to discuss how regulators should respond to the international credit market crisis and its fallout on the broader capital markets.

BCSC Chair, Brenda Leong, will act as host. Panel members include:

  • Douglas M. Hyndman, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Securities Transition Office
  • Dr. Malcolm Knight, Vice Chairman of Deutsche Bank Group and Visiting Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics
  • Greg Tanzer, Secretary General of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)
  • Dr. Patricia Walters, Clinical Associate Professor of Accounting at Fordham University and President, Disclosure Analytics, Inc.
