MEDIA INVITED TO RELEASE OF NATIONAL FRAUD IMPACT STUDY

Vancouver - On Oct. 2, 2007 at 12 p.m., British Columbia Securities Commission executive director Brenda Leong will announce the findings of a new national study on the social impact of investment fraud. She will also announce new BCSC investor education initiatives to combat this serious issue.

Members of the media are invited to attend the announcement to learn more about the social impact of investment fraud and what the BCSC is doing about it. Media can also arrange for interviews with Brenda Leong after the announcement by contacting the BCSC in advance.
