Minister Rick Thorpe to award Vancouver student securities prize

Vancouver – The British Columbia Securities Commission will announce the winner of an essay contest sponsored by Canadian securities regulators to promote awareness of investing concepts among young Canadians.

The British Columbia winner of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) “Test Your Financial IQ” essay contest will be recognized at a special ceremony with Doug Hyndman, chair of the B.C. Securities Commission and Rick Thorpe, Minister of Competition, Science and Enterprise.
