Adjournment of Hearing and Extension of Temporary Orders


WHEREAS on May 19, 1999, under section 161 of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 418, the Executive Director gave notice to Marguerite Marie France Marinus, COI Cellular One Inc., and Northern Independent Marketing Inc. (the “Respondents”) of a hearing to be held on June 2, 1999, before the British Columbia Securities Commission to determine whether it is in the public interest to make orders under the Act against the Respondents;

AND WHEREAS on May 19, 1999, the Executive Director ordered under section 161(2) of the Act (the “temporary orders”) that
      • trading in any securities by the Respondents cease; and
        • trading in the securities of COI or NIM cease
    for a period ending June 8, 1999;

    AND WHEREAS on May 25, 1999, at the request of Marinus, all of the parties agreed to adjourn the hearing generally, subject to
        • the hearing being reconvened on seven days notice by any of the Respondents or Commission staff; and
        • the Temporary Orders being extended until the hearing is held and the decision rendered;

    NOW THEREFORE the Commission, considering it necessary and in the public interest, orders that:


    1. the hearing is adjourned generally, subject to it being reconvened on seven days notice by any of the Respondents or Commission staff; and

    2. under section 161(3) of the Act, the Temporary Orders are extended until the hearing is held and a decision rendered.
