Commission bans three people who illegally distributed securities in Alberta

Vancouver - A British Columbia Securities Commission panel has banned three individuals from the province's capital markets who violated securities laws when they illegally distributed the shares of a mining company to Alberta residents.

The orders against Tolan Shigeo Furusho, Beverly Kamerling and Tracy Lee Kroeker rely on Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) findings, and orders the ASC issued on Oct. 9, 2007.

The ASC panel found that Kamerling and Furusho, both Bellevue, Washington residents, and Kroeker, a resident of St. Albert, Alberta, acted contrary to the public interest when they traded and distributed shares of Goldtech Mining Corporation without being registered or without filing a prospectus. The panel fined the three individuals and issued market bans against them.

In its decision, the BCSC panel reciprocated the ASC's market bans against the three individuals.  Under the order, with limited exceptions, the panel banned Kamerling from participating in B.C.'s capital markets permanently; banned Furusho for 10 years; and banned Kroeker for seven years.
