The British Columbia Securities Commission, having considered it to be in the public interest, orders that the attached BC Instrument 55-505 entitled “Interim Requirements during the Launch of the System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI)” is made.

Interim Requirements during the Launch of the
System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI)

Order Under Section 6.1 of National Instrument 55-102
System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI)

Defined terms
1. In this instrument:

“interim period A” means from the date of this Instrument until May 30, 2003.

“interim period B” means from the date of this Instrument until June 8, 2003.

Interpretation
2. Terms defined in the Securities Act, the Securities Rules, NI 14-101 Definitions or NI 55-102 System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI), have the same meanings in this Instrument.

Interim exemption order
3. During interim period A, a SEDI issuer is exempt from filing

(a) the issuer profile supplement required by section 2.3(1) of NI 55-102, if the SEDI issuer files an issuer profile supplement by May 30, 2003;

(b) the amended issuer profile supplement required by section 2.3(3) of NI 55-102, if the SEDI issuer files an amended issuer profile supplement as soon as possible after May 30, 2003.

4. During interim period B

(a) an insider of a SEDI issuer is exempt from filing the insider report in SEDI format required by section 2.2 of NI 55-102, if the insider files the insider report in paper format in accordance with Part 3 of NI 55-102;

(b) a SEDI issuer is exempt from filing the issuer event report required by section 2.4(1) of NI 55-102; 

(c) an insider of a SEDI issuer who, prior to the date of this Instrument, relies on the temporary hardship exemption in Part 4 of NI 55-102, is exempt from section 4.1(5) of NI 55-102.

Effective date
5. This instrument is effective May 5, 2003.
