Policies & Instruments

  • BC Instrument 53-501 - Relief respecting the requirement to send financial statements and quarterly reports to securityholders

BC Instrument 53-501 provides relief from the concurrent delivery requirement in section 149 of the Securities Rules to issuers who, because of the power shortages in eastern Canada, are unable to obtain printed copies of their financial statements for the interim period ended June 30, 2003. Issuers relying on this relief must still file their interim financial statements and quarterly report, if applicable, by SEDAR by August 29, 2003. They must then send the interim statements to securityholders and file written confirmation of compliance no later than September 15, 2003.

BC Instrument 21-501 - Recognition of exchanges, self regulatory bodies and juridictions

The Commission has updated and replaced the 2001 version of BC Instrument 21-501. This instrument recognizes exchanges, self regulatory bodies and jurisdictions for purposes of the Securities Act, Securities Rules, and various national instruments.
