This notice announces that the Commission and the other members of the Canadian Securities Administrators are publishing for comment a concept proposal for uniform securities legislation (USL). CSA Notice and Request for Comment 11-402 and the concept proposal accompany this notice.
The commission is participating in the USL project and supports its goal of harmonizing Canadian securities legislation. However, the Commission thinks the uniform legislation should include much more streamlining and simplification. If you believe that regulatory simplification should be an important goal for the USL project, we encourage you to mention that in the comments you provide in response to the CSA notice.

This notice announces the publication for comment of proposed Multilateral Instrument 45-102 Resale of Securities (Proposed MI 45-102); 45-102CP Companion Policy; and Form 45-102F1 Notice of Intention to Distribute Securities under Section 2.8 of MI 45-102 Resale of Securities.
MI 45-102 (Current MI 45-102) was originally adopted by all Canadian jurisdictions except Quebec on November 30, 2001. If Proposed MI 45-102 is adopted, it will replace the Current MI 45-102. A summary of the proposed changes to the Current MI 45-102 are set out in the BCN.
Comment letters received on or before May 2, 2003 will be considered.
