Background:

On May 30, 2014, the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) issued an investor alert about Global Settlements Group.

In its investor alert, the FCAA warned former York Rio Resources Inc. (York Rio) investors about solicitations being made by an individual claiming to act on behalf of an entity named Global Settlements Group.

There are British Columbia (BC) residents who invested in York Rio.

According to the Ontario Securities Commission, York Rio is not associated with Global Settlements Group.

Global Settlements Group is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC.

We urge BC residents to exercise caution when dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise in BC.
