Policies & Instruments

The Commission's Securities Policy Advisory Committee is seeking expressions of interest from interested British Columbia market participants. SPAC is looking for five new members for a term expiring on March 31, 2008, renewable for another three years. SPAC is a volunteer committee that provides advice on administrative, regulatory and legislative matters affecting the securities industry in the Province. If you are interested, please forward your resume to the attention of the Chair of SPAC by December 24, 2004.
  • BC Notice 2004/45 - CSA Notice and Request for Comments Proposed Amendments to Multilateral Instrument 52-109 Certification of Disclosure in Issuers Annual and Interim Filings and Companion Policy 52-109CP
The proposed amendments will give issuers more time before they are required to provide the full certificates under MI 52-109. This instrument is not in effect in BC so this is notification only for the benefit of BC issuers that are reporting in other provinces.
  • BC Notice 2004/46 - Advance Notice of Amendments to National Instrument 54-101 Communication with Beneficial Owners of Securities of a Reporting Issuer and Companion Policy 54-101CP

    In the advance notice, the Canadian Securities Administrators announce the expected implementation of amendments to National Instrument 54-101 Communication with Beneficial Owners of Securities of a Reporting Issuer, and its related companion policy, effective February 9, 2005.
