Background:
On July 24, 2012, the Autorité des marchés financiers in Quebec (the AMF) published a Caution, warning investors about recent solicitations to invest in the derivatives market made, by e-mail and telephone, by Best Commodity Options, a company claiming to be based in Panama.
In its Caution, the AMF said that at least one Quebec resident was solicited recently by Best Commodity Options, which is not registered with the AMF.
Best Commodity Options is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities in British Columbia.
We urge British Columbia residents to exercise caution when dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise in British Columbia.
