  • BC Notice 2008/33 - Notice of Amendments to Securities Act and Securities Rules

    This notice announces the proclamation of amendments to the Securities Act and the adoption of amendments to the Securities Rules effective July 4, 2008. These provide new statutory remedies for investors in the secondary market who suffer damages from misleading disclosure and make related consequential changes.

    Twice a year BCSC staff participate in the Public Companies: Better, Faster, Cheaper course as instructors, guest speakers, and registrants. The Public Companies course, offered through Simon Fraser University (SFU) Continuing Studies, is designed to provide directors, officers, and senior management of public companies with the information they need to fulfill their roles while complying with the complex system of securities regulation.
