  • 51-517 - BC Instrument 51-517 Temporary Exemption from Certain Corporate Finance Requirements with Deadlines during the Period from June 2 to August 31, 2020  

    In light of the impact on issuers (non-investment fund) of recent COVID-19 developments, the BC Securities Commission is providing blanket relief granting a 45-day extension for filing, sending, and delivery requirements relating to certain required periodic disclosure such as annual financial statements, interim reports, MD&A and technical reports, as well as prospectus lapse date extensions for base shelf prospectuses, normally required to be made by issuers during the period from June 2 to August 31, 2020. This relief does not further extend any deadline covered by the relief announced on March 23, 2020.

  • 81-521 - BC Instrument 81-521 Extension of Certain Filing, Sending, Delivery and Prospectus Renewal Requirements of Investment Funds with Deadlines during the Period from June 2 to September 30, 2020

    In light of the impact on investment fund of recent COVID-19 developments, the BC Securities Commission is providing blanket relief granting a 60-day extension for certain filing, sending, and delivery requirements relating to certain required periodic disclosure such as annual financial statements, interim financial reports, custodian and compliance reports, as well as prospectus lapse date extensions for mutual funds and ETFs that are in continuous distribution, normally required to be made by investment funds from June 2 to September 30, 2020. This relief does not further extend any deadline covered by the relief announced on March 23, 2020.

  • BCN 2020/05 - Notice of Revised British Columbia Securities Commission Policy 15-601 Hearings

    The BC Securities Commission has revised procedures for hearings under the Securities Act. The revisions update the Commission’s hearing policy to better reflect recent Court and Commission decisions, developments in electronic hearing policy, and clarify expectations of hearing participants. Further, the revisions reflect recent statutory amendments to the Securities Act. The revised hearing policy is effective immediately.
