• We received an enquiry from a British Columbia resident who was cold-called by a representative of Douglas Charles, in January of 2011.  The Douglas Charles representative informed the British Columbia resident that a client of Douglas Charles needed to show some losses in his investment portfolio and was willing to trade his shares of Apple, Inc. for the British Columbia resident’s shares of York-Rio Resources Inc.  In order to complete the transaction, the British Columbia resident would be required to first send $9,000 to Douglas Charles.

  On its website, Douglas Charles claims that its “Wealth Management professionals provide an array of comprehensive financial services”.

  Douglas Charles is not registered in British Columbia to trade in, or advise on, securities and exchange contracts.
