The Panel issued its decision on October 27, 2014. On August 6, 2015 the Commission posted a Notice that the Commission had received funds pursuant to a s. 161(1)(g) order (Funds) and that eligible parties could make claims in respect of the Funds on or before August 6, 2018. The Commission did not receive any claims by the deadline. On August 11, 2021, the Commission received recommendations from the executive director that the Commission may retain the Funds, plus accrued interest, and expend them pursuant to section 15 of the Act. The panel considered the recommendations of the executive director and issued its direction respecting the retention and expenditure of the Funds, plus accrued interest, on March 22, 2022.
