  •  BC Notice 2026/03 - Exemptions for shares or deposits of a credit union [BCN]

    Effective April 9, 2026, the Commission is replacing BC Instrument 45 531 Exemptions for shares or deposits of a credit union with an updated version to reflect the current framework for exemptions related to shares of a credit union. The amendment to BCI 45 531 clarifies that the registration and prospectus exemptions apply to share issuances to credit union members and to membership share issuances to prospective members. Issuances other than those discussed above will be subject to the registration or prospectus requirements, unless another exemption is available.
  • 55-104 - Proposed Amendment to National Instrument 55-104 Insider Reporting Requirements and Exemptions Relating to Investment Funds and Certain Structured Products [CSA Notice and Request for Comment]

    This notice publishes proposed amendment for a 60-day comment period. The proposed amendment is intended to clarify the application of the insider reporting regime to transactions involving investment funds and certain structured products based on the securities of a reporting issuer. Specifically, it clarifies that reporting insiders may not reply on the exemption in paragraph 9.7(g) of NI 55-104 for such transactions. The comment period ends June 8, 2026.

  • CIRO - Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) - Rules Bulletin - Housekeeping Amendments to Fee Model - Ending of Transitionary Measures Described in Appendix C & B (Part 2) for Mutual Fund Dealers Operating in Québec

    This Notice announces the BCSC’s deemed non-objection to housekeeping amendments to CIRO’s Fee Model (the Amendments). The Amendments will end transitionary measures currently in place relating to Québec Mutual Fund Dealers and dealing representatives and end the collection of CIRO national registration database fees for MFD Members operating in Québec. The amendments will be effective on July 1, 2026.
