- 96-307 - Frequently Asked Questions about Derivatives Trade Reporting
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) have published an updated version of CSA Staff Notice 96 307 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Derivatives Trade Reporting in connection with amendments to the trade reporting regime that took effect on July 25, 2025.
This notice updates an earlier version of this FAQ and incorporates responses to new questions, including questions we received from market participants. The updated FAQ replaces the prior version and includes responses to additional questions raised by market participants. It provides guidance on compliance with MI 96 101 – Derivatives: Trade Reporting (MI 96-101), with a focus on the practical implementation of the amended requirements by reporting counterparties and trade repositories.
MI 96-101 and its related companion policy are available on the BCSC’s website. - 81-106 - Adoption of Amendments Modernization of the Continuous Disclosure Regime for Investment Funds (Workstream Two and Three)
The modernization of the continuous disclosure regime for investment funds amendments aim to improve investment fund disclosure for investors while relieving unnecessary regulatory burden for investment fund managers. The workstream Two amendments introduce a standardized form for related party transaction reporting, replacing overlapping and duplicative requirements. The workstream Three amendments, aligned with IFRS, remove certain class or series-level financial statement disclosures to streamline reporting requirements. These amendments take effect on April 22, 2026.
