Investment Dealer Exemption
On January 14, the British Columbia Securities Commission and four other provincial securities regulators implemented an investment dealer prospectus exemption. This exemption is designed to help listed companies raise money and allow retail investors to participate in private placements, while maintaining appropriate investor protection.
In BC, the exemption is found in BC Instrument 45-536 - Exemption from prospectus requirement for certain distributions through an investment dealer.
