In the attached notice, the Canadian Securities Administrators are publishing advance notice of amendments to National Instrument 55-101 Insider Reporting Exemptions and Companion Policy 55-101CP Insider Reporting Exemptions.

The CSA notice describes the principal changes to the National Instrument and Companion Policy resulting from these amendments and the date these amendments will come into force. 

The CSA notice also provides background to the amendments to the National Instrument and Companion Policy and information about the comment process.

Provided necessary ministerial approval is obtained, the amendments to the National Instrument will come into force on September 10, 2007. The amendments to the Companion Policy will come into effect at the same time as the amendments to the National Instrument.
