In the attached notice, the Canadian Securities Administrators are publishing for comment proposed amendments that would change the current corporate governance regime for public companies. The proposed amendments are to
- National Policy 58-201 Corporate Governance Guidelines
- National Instrument 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices and related forms, and
- National Instrument 52-110 Audit Committees, related forms and companion policy
The comment period is 120 days. The CSA notice describes where you can send comments and questions relating to the proposed governance regime. We will consider all comments received by April 20, 2009.
