BCN 2000/67 - BC Form 51-901F Quarterly and Year End Report (Previously Form 61) and BCIN#52-701 Accounting for Business Combinations and Corporate Reorganizations (Previously NIN#91/21) [BCN - Rescinded]

Published Date: 2000-12-22
Effective Date: 2000-12-20

Effective January 1, 2001, the Executive Director specifies a new report form, BC Form 51-901F Quarterly and Year End Report, that replaces Form 61.
BC Form 51-901F reflects the requirements of the new CICA Handbook section 1751 Interim Financial Statements.  The new form also clarifies various requirements for which staff received recurring enquires or noted recurring deficiencies in quarterly and year end report filings.

The Executive Director is also issuing BC Interpretation Note 52-701.  This Interpretation Note contains the content of former NIN#91/21 corrected for cross-references to British Columbia securities legislation, National Policy No. 51 Changes in the Ending Date of a Financial Year and in Reporting Status of the Canadian Securities Administrators, and the CICA’s Emerging Issues Committee’s Abstract of Issue Discussed EIC-10 and EIC-89.

Transitional Provisions
Effective January 1, 2001, BC Form 51-901F is the required form for quarterly and year end reports filed by exchange issuers.  However, for first, second and third financial quarters in fiscal years beginning before January 1, 2001, an issuer may, at its option, present in the financial statements provided under Schedule A of BC Form 51-901F only the financial periods required by the predecessor Form 61 and not the additional periods required by BC Form 51-901F.

DATED at Vancouver, British Columbia, on December 20, 2000.
