NIN 95/46 - Processing Applications for Discretionary Relief Before Year End [NIN - Rescinded]

Due to the number and complexity of applications already in process, and the upcoming holiday season, applications for discretionary relief from the requirements of the Securities Act, Regulation or Policy Statements, should be filed by or before December 8, 1995 if discretionary relief is required prior to December 31, 1995. These applications need also be accompanied by the fee for expedited treatment.

For applications filed after December 8, 1995 staff cannot assure filers that the application will be reviewed before December 31, 1995, even if the filing is made with payment of the fee for expedited treatment.

Any concerns resulting from these procedures should be brought to the attention of Margaret Sheehy, Deputy Superintendent, Exemptions and Orders Division.
