Effective April 3, 1998, the Commission, together with the Canadian securities regulatory authorities in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, is rescinding Uniform Act Policy No. 2-11: "Policy Statement in Connection with Applications to the Commission for an Order under Section 121(3) of the Securities Act, 1966 (Ontario) (now section 79(a) [80(a)] of the new Act or section 173(3) of the Business Corporations Act, 1970 (Ontario)) (the "Policy")".
A Notice respecting the proposed rescission of the Policy was published in the Weekly Summary on August 1, 1997 (NIN#97/34). Interested parties were invited to make written submissions with respect to the proposed rescission. No submissions were received.
