The CICA Assurance Standards Board (the "ASB") has issued an Exposure Draft entitled "Auditor Assistance to Underwriters and Others". The Commission believes the Exposure Draft may be of interest to individuals involved in the securities industry in British Columbia, and would therefor encourage those individuals who are interested to obtain a copy of the Exposure Draft from the CICA web site at http://www.cica.ca/cica/cicawebsite.nsf/public/EDOEDAssuranceStandards. The ASB has requested that comments be sent to it by December 6, 1999.
